Samantha Guy
Events Host
Sam, originally from the West Midlands, began her career studying Leisure and Tourism and first experienced life abroad working at an American summer camp in 1995. Following this, she worked as an overseas children’s holiday representative before returning to the UK to manage after-school and holiday clubs. With over ten years as a nursery manager, Sam also has experience in family support roles and working with teenage pregnancy groups.
After being made redundant from her nursery manager role due to the COVID lockdowns, Sam embraced the opportunity for a career shift into events. Since then, she has volunteered as an Events Manager for Race for Life, worked in front-of-house roles, served as Residential Services Manager at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games, coordinated community cycling events, and hosted speed dating events in the heart of Birmingham. Recently, Sam relocated to Manchester to work as a Project Coordinator and is excited about settling into her new city.
In her free time, Sam enjoys reading, attending concerts and theatre, brunches, and exploring new places. She’s thrilled to meet everyone and host events to bring people together.
