In 2022, it was reported that almost half of the UK’s population felt lonely.

Post-pandemic, our world has changed massively. We’ve had to get used to new structures, new ways of working, learning, and sharing time with people – all whilst working through the emotional effects of being socially isolated from friends, family, and peers for months on end. Whilst there is no doubt the lockdowns left lasting effects on the majority of the population, here at WE we’ve been finding new ways to combat loneliness! Here’s three of our affordable and accessible activities in the new year – come say hi!

These events are great ways to establish new friendships, connections, and relationships with supportive women who share similar struggles. It is always important to remember that female friendships have many benefits; they can extend life expectancy, fight stress, boost moods, offer honesty, and create a positive, uplifting space (read more on Escape Haven about benefits of  female friends).

Here at WE, we know how hard it can be to make the jump from solitude to immersing yourself in social settings – so take things at your own pace. We’ll be here either through online meet ups, in person, or over social media.
